Hello! I have been igned to draw the map that we need and in the process of doing so, I had some ideas about the roleplay.
Minor Quests: There could be some neutral creatures (e.g. dragons, trolls, ogres, spiders) (or sometimes strong people) that could be fought by the heroes. Whenever a hero defeats a beast there will be a reward expecting him (e.g. if you defeat a dragon you can take all its wealth). Each species will be at 1 or 2 particular regions. The beasts, being neutral, will not choose a side, will not interfere in the war, won't attack heroes unless attacked or sometimes unless the heroes go in their region. Maybe there could be some few exceptions like if a faction collects too much gold, a dragon might want to steal it.
Elves, Dwarfs, Goblins: Those will also be neutral and will also dwell at certain places. It has been said that factions/heroes will be able to upgrade their units giving golden fees. Maybe they could give that fees to elves, dwarfs and goblins. Elves will share their knowledge of magic with you; dwarfs will forge you special armoury and weaponry; goblins, having fought many wars with the elves, will have created a kind of armour that will be quite strong against magic (but weak against normal weapons, especially if they are made by dwarfs). Those peoples might sometimes have you do some task for them instead of asking a golden fee.
Special Artefacts: There could be unique special artefacts that could be gained by heroes either by defeating some enemy and this being the reward or part of it or as a reward for a task igned to you by someone (e.g. an elf). Those artefacts will have special powers and will be tradable and maybe possible to be stolen.
The problem is that we will have at least one player to become neutral to play the neutral enemies. I would do that, but I would like to do some minor quests as well from time to time. Also, I think that there could be people impersonating the peoples. I guess I can do that.
PS: Someone should explain to me where each region is (North, West, East, Southeast etc. etc.), its landscape if it isn't already explained in its thread! Also, if I feel the need to, could I create some more regions to fill the map or have some region for the above! Lastly, could someone explain to me where there's sea? PPS: Note, that I thought all of these before I discovered this forum and when I thought that the roleplay would take place at the old forum. Thus, some of these may already happen; I just haven't managed to explore the whole forum yet. PPPS:Where should I post the map?

Oh! I just found out that there's already a map! Just ignore any things that have to do with the map!

If Mods can do this and they agree, maybe it would be better the topic to be moved at the roleplay meta sub-forum.

I've thought of a lot of ideas like this before, and I think they all sound great. Give it a little time for this roleplay to fill out and I think we can add them! I think having the races have special units would be cool. I think they should have the 4 basic unit types.

I've been thinking of these constantly, and I've been developing a very mive post of ideas. You've labelled two here, and I shall proceed answering.
I will take it upon myself to play neutral characters and kingdoms, although, with school starting, I may not be very active. My current character, High Necromancer of Darcanith, has some very exciting storylines and twists coming forth, which will culminate in the Roleplay's first "Raid", in which all alliances must help each other to prevent certain apocalypse, fighting incredibly hard bosses. I will explain everything in time.
But once the High Necromancer plot is done, I'll get to work with neutrality immediately.

I'm glad you guys like the ideas. Yet, since one of you says they like them partly, I would like to discuss with you what you don't like and what could/should be changed.

I'm glad you guys like the ideas. Yet, since one of you says they like them partly, I would like to discuss with you what you don't like and what could/should be changed. I think that might have been me. I like the idea of neutral parties and a player being in charge of the mythical creatures, but I'm not sold on the idea of quests. It seems like that would be an unnecessary complication, and possibly an annoyance. For example, a PC could be trying to move a small army to a location to prepare for an invasion and Neutral Person decides that now is a good time for a dragon to attack said army. Is that a feasible scenario, or am I in error?

Is that a feasible scenario, or am I in error? Such attacks by neutral cretures will be very rare if they will be happening at all. Yet, even in that case dragons will attack to steal gold and to do that, they will have to attack a castle. I don't know if other creatures will attack at all, but I suppose we could do something similar with them. Normally, creatures will not attack unless attacked or if their lair and maybe a little area around it has intruders. For instance, if you enter the cave where a dragon lives it will most certianly attack you. Sometimes the creatures may be trying to block your way (e.g. an ogre guarding a bridge), but I think those will be enemies that one will be able to deal with easily!

Would you guys like me to post a list of the creatures I think we could have?

List: Dragons -I have imagined them living in a valley surrounded by mountains and that has only one page to go in. That could be somewhere in the Ashlands, if you like it. Scorpions (big ones) Spiders (also big) -a hero defeating a Spider could earn some of its poison. Skeletons (maybe) -I thought they could be somewhere close the Darcanith, because they are Necromancers. Trolls Ogres Griffins (maybe - also maybe Hippogriffs) -those could be friendly if you tamed them. Sea Serpents Kelpies (maybe) -I think we would need lakes for them. Sirens/Mermaids/Merpeople Daemons -I have a plot twist about them, so could you please conisder that there aren't any Daemons in in Elensiar or around it (yet). Tongue Smileys of Light -they are found throughout the whole Kingdom and are good. Yet, be careful, because they might lick you to death if you do not do what they want! JK! Tongue Smileys of Darkness -they are evil and live underground. Their aim is to conquer the world! JK! I can't think of any other I wanted to say (although they are not the only I know and many more could be used). Also, there could be friendly or tameable creatures if you'd like. How do you like those ones.
